So we landed in Cairo...I am bored with this thread--haha. Family met us and all was good. We journeyed to Port Said and there began a whole new list of adventures. Egypt is just one big adventure. I admit I have had two or three "I hate Egypt" days. A dear friend of mine says the first year is wicked here. Actually I cant say my first year is even close to wicked--annoying as hell yes--but not as bad as wicked. And the annoying days are thankfully few and far between. I'll write more about that and other excellent adventures later. For now, please say a few prayers for the victims of the Mokattam Hills landslide. The death toll is much higher than the government will report. And a tragedy in Ramadan seems doubly tragic. So whisper a few prayers, and thank God it wasnt you. Peace!

"I am bored with this thread" - Yea me too ! Move on already ! (Kidding) ;)
Yea the first few days are always hard especially when you've gone so long and you already miss some of the luxuries and conveniences.
It's so tragic about the landslide. How far away from where you are was it?
hahahahahaha@Jaffer! Yep--I was making myself sick--lol! Always nice to see you! I'm coming over to visit now!
Susie...it is very far--I would say an hour's drive at least in Cairo traffic. May Allah have mercy on the souls of those who died...and on the survivors as well. Being poor in Egypt is verrry difficult. May Allah help them.
how about prayers also for September, 11 victims?
Of course Bastawisi...we pray for victims of terrorists all over the globe
