Rest in Peace, Kenya Girl

I got a call from the police late this afternoon. They found my dogs. I am very sad to say that Kenya is dead. She was hit by a car and crawled under a tree. Alexa stayed with her and guarded her. When the police went to them, Alexa would not let them near Kenya. She protected Kenya in life and death. She was loyal to her companion. Only when I got there, would Alexa move away from Kenya's body, and let me touch Kenya. I had taken Kenya's blanket with me...the police did not tell me she was dead when they called me--only that she was injured. So I took her blanket expecting to take her to the animal hospital for treatment. Instead, I wrapped her body in the blanket and the police put her in my car. I took her and Alexa to the animal hospital. Alexa had a check-up and Kenya will be buried. Alexa has infections in her feet. Of course she is not used to walking among the trees and cement for a long period of time. So she will take antibiotics for 14 days.

This has been a very very sad day for me. I spent a long time with Kenya at the hospital. I talked to her and held her in my arms and kissed her goodbye. Alexa also said goodbye to her. Subhannah Allah, I cant tell you how I feel. I never expected anything like this to happen. And the person who hit her with his car did not stop or report it or anything. Just drove away and didn't care at all. Hasboon Allah wa nam al wakeel.

Please pray for me. I know it might sound silly, but my heart is broken. And please forgive me if I don't answer comments for awhile. I'm not up to anything right now. Thanks for understanding.

I am so extremely sorry for your loss of Kenya .Strange as it may seem given the Muslims penchants to be anti dog as a pet , in the Quran there is a passage that says that all animals will go to Heaven when they die , so you will see her again . Rejoice that she be with you once again . This has been a really rotten time in your life recently but I am certain that this will come to an end soon . Keep the Faith sister .
